  1. What do you want to tell me about yourself? (they don't want to hear that you have six cats, scuba dive and vacation in Las Vegas)
    • They want to hear and see that you are intelligent and have the ability to make an on-going commitment to corporate goals.
  2. Who has been an influential role model in your life? And Why?
    • Give this question some thought and how will it be perceived by the interviewer
  3. Which three words describe you? (Based on your research what do they want to hear?)
    • If you have been listening and researched the company, you will pick up on what they want to hear
  4. Why do you want to work here?
    • If you haven't done your research that question will become a thorn in your side as will most questions on this list
  5. What motivates you?
  6. What did you enjoy most about your last position?
  7. Why did you choose this field?
  8. What can you do for us that someone else can't?
  9. How did you learn about this job opening?
  10. Do you have references?
  11. Do you have a salary history?
  12. You're overqualified and wouldn't be happy in the position, would you?
  13. Give me an example of an occasion where you did your best?
  14. Describe the ideal job.
  15. Tell me about 2 or 3 of your recent goals and what you did to achieve them.
